Hi folks,
--
-- After my unsuccessful attempt at a new life bird down in La Veta at oh-dark-thirty this morning, I managed to re-find the Bell's Vireo originally found by Brandon Percival at Valco Ponds at Lake Pueblo. I had not seen any reports of the bird since John Drummond's June 11 on eBird, but today it was in the exact same location as reported by him, still singing away. It was very vocal yet peripatetic and not affording good glimpses (especially at 10am as it was getting warmer, mosquito-ier, and ant-ier - not an ideal time to bird at Valco), but I think I got a few good sound recording samples of it.
Thanks,
Eric
