The pair of Barrow's Goldeneye were present on Watson Lake in Bellvue from 230-330pm today until a Bald Eagle excited the masses. Got poor but identifiable photos. Anyone looking for these birds should be aware that I saw many Goldeneye on the Poudre River upstream from the "dam". They were often flying between the river and Watson especially when spooked. Note that the land upstream is private. A scope will get you some good looks. Nice pair of Hooded Mergansers along with the usual suspects were also present.
