[cobirds] American Woodcock

We just returned from seeing a life bird which I had hoped to view for some time. Many thanks to Dawn Wilson for remaining there from noon to at least 3:30PM, when we left. We had our scope and enjoyed showing the bird to 10 to 15 people. We all viewed from the road and met many nice people who were happy to get looks at the bird. The bird was resting during our time there and views in binoculars were not great. We were thankful Ray had thought of taking the scope. We are also happy we did not encounter any poor behavior this afternoon. We would never have been able to find the bird had Dawn and another gentleman not been standing in the road with cameras pointing at it.
