ADAMS COUNTY:
--A Thayer's Gull was reported by Dowell at Barr Lake SP on January 16.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--On January 4, Rutherford reported Lapland, Chestnut-collared and McCown's Longsspurs N of Deer Trail between 3019 and 3071 South Prince Road.  On January 5, Suddjian reported Lapland, Chestnut-collared and McCown's Longspurs and a Snow Bunting on South Prince Road N of Deer Trail.  On January 11, Goldthwait reported Chestnut-collared Longspur between 642 and 776 S Prince Road.
--On January 9 at South Platte Reservoir, Suddjian reported Lesser Black-backed Gull, Thayer's Gull and Glaucous Gull and 2 m Barrow's Goldeneyes.  On January 10 at South Platte Reservoir, Dowell reported 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 3 Thayer's Gulls.  On January 13 at South Platte Reservoir Suddjian reported 1 3-rd cyc Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 1-st cyc Glaucous Gull, and 3 Thayer's Gulls (1 ad, 2 1-st cyc).  On January 16 Tina Jones and Hopping reported Thayer's Gull and Lesser Black-backed Gull at South Platte Reservoir.
--At Aurora Reservoir on January 13, Dowell reported ad Glacous Gull, 3 Thayer's Gulls and 7 Lesser Black-bakced Gulls.

BENT/KIOWA COUNTIES:
--At Adobe Creek Reservoir on January 2, Duane Nelson reported 2 Rusty Blackbirds from dam at outlet.  Drive W on Bent CR UU from CR 10 until you get to spillway.  On January 10, Duane Nelson reported that the Rusty Blackbirds continue at Adobe Creek Reservoir.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--On January 1, Gent reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farms parking lot. On January 5, Dowell and Moore reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farms parking lot.  On January 11, Floyd reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farms parking lot.  On January 18, Vesekt reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm parking lot.
--A Tundra Swan was spotted by Bob Spencer Jr on January 1 at the Valmont Complex.  On January 2, Mlodinow reporte juv Tundra Swan at Valmont.  On January 10, Steadman reported Tundra Swan at Valmont Complex.
--On January 16, Mlodinow reported all three species of Rosy-Finches at Fawn Brook Inn. 
--On January 17, Floyd reported all three species of Rosy-Finches in Lower Ward.

DELTA COUNTY:
--Beason reported receiving a report of a CALFORNIA CONDOR flying over Hwy 92 near Paonia on January 15.  The condor was flying over Rogers Mesa at 32657 Hwy 92.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--An ACORN WOODPECKER was reported by Peterson at Cheyenne Blvd in Colorado Springs on January 2.
Please respect the privacy of homeowners.  On January 3, Driscoll reported ACORN WOODPECKER in Willow Circle neighborhood of Colorado Springs.  On January 5, Koehn Reported ACORN WOODPECKER in Willow Circle neighborhood.  On January 6, Brobin and Goff reported ACORN WOODPECKER in Willow Circle neighborhood.
On January 9, Nick Moore reported ACORN WOODPECKER in Ridgeway neighborhood of Colorado Springs.  On January 10, Tonnessen reported ACORN WOODPECKER in Willow Circle neighborhood.  On January 15, Hodges reported ACORN WOODPECKER in Willow Circle neighborhood.

FREMONT COUNTY:
--A PACIFIC WREN was reported by Percival on the Canon City River Walk on January 10.  Park at Raynolds Ave. Walk theicy bluff trail past 3/4 mile marker.  Listen for it calling on the south side of trail about 50 yards west of the 3/4 mile marker.  Percival reported that Denver birds saw and heard a Winter Wren along the River Walk.  Drummond reported Winter Wren and Pacific Wren along Canon City River Walk.  Chartier and Mark Miller reported PACIFIC WREN on Canon City RIver Walk on January 11.
--Drummond reported Rufous-crowned Sparrow at Tunnel Drive close to the path around the sub-station on January 10.  On January 11, Chartier reported Canyon Wren at Tunnel Drive.  On January 11, Mark Miller reported Rufous-crowned Sparrow and Canyon Wren and heard a ROCK WREN at Tunnel Drive.
--Percival reported Black Phoebe at Florence River Park.
--Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported by Rich Miller on CR 120 S of Penrose, about 2 miles W of Pueblo county line just W of bridge over "Ranger Creek" on January 14.
--A Slate-colored Fox Sparrow was reported by Walbek on the Canon City Riverwalk on January 16.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On January 7, Chavez reported Golden-crowned Sparrow and Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch at Red Rocks Trading Post.  On January 9, Kilpatrick reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Red Rocks Trading Post and Suddjian  reported 3 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches  On January 18, Casias and Rutherford reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Red Rocks Trading Post.
--Ira Sanders reported Gray-crowned and Black Rosy-Finches coming to his front yard at 314 DeFrance Ct in Golden on December 29.  Birders are welcome to watch from the street.  On Janurary 10, Kaempfer reported Gray-crowned and Brown-capped Rosy-Finches at the Sanders feeders.  On January 11, Riffe reported Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches at Sanders feeders.  On January 15, Sanders reported a handful of Rosy-Finches.  Elk have destroyed his front yard feeders so look in back on the patio.  On January 16, Sanders reported Rosy-finches had returned to his yard.  On January 19, Sanders reported about 25 Rosy-Finches had returned to his feeders.  
--On January 4, Schottler reported a Pine Warbler at Denver West Office Park near the SE corner of bldg 7.  On January 6, Suddjian reported Pine Warbler at Denver West Office Park.  On January 7, Roller reported Pine Warbler at Denver West.  On January 8, Clark reported Pine Warbler at Denver West Office Park.  On January 15, Walbek reported Pine Warbler at Denver West Office Park.
--On January 4 at Apex Park, Elliott Gordon reported all three species of Rosy-Finches.  On January 14, Matt Clark reported Gray-crowned and Brown-capped Rosy-Finches at Apex Park.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--On January 15, Simonds found an AMERICAN WOODCOCK along a ditch/creek at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.  The creek is across from the ranger house.  Bobcat Ridge and its parkings lots are closed.   On January 16, Pals reported that the AMERICAN WOODCOCK continues to be seen at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area between the ranger house and upstream to where the next house is.   View the bird from the road that leads into the subdivision north of ranger house.  On January 17, Waltman reported that the AMERICAN WOODCOCK was seen by many birders at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.  On January 18, Hopper reported that the AMERICAN WOODCOCK was seen by many birders at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.  On January 19, Gent reported that the AMERICAN WOODCOCK continues to be seen by many birder at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.
--On January 16, Cobble reported a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes at Watson SP Wildlife Area and on January 17, Brueing reported a pair of  Barrow's Goldeneyes at Watson.  
--On January 19 around 0700, Sarah Crosby heard a loud noise and then saw a possible PILEATED WOODPECKER near N Lincoln Ave and E 3rd St.  It flew off to the south.  Loveland and Fort Collin birders will be
searching for the bird and will post to CoBirds if they find it.  This would be a new state bird if confirmed.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
--A m Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Garrison on the Lower Dolores River above Bradfield Bridge on January 17.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
--On January 17 at Otter Pond, Bill Harris reported 3 Barrow's Goldeneyes (2m, 1f).  Otter Pond is S of Montrose.

PARK COUNTY:
--On January 10, Suddjian reported all three species of Rosy-Finches in Jefferson at a house on main street behind the store, in Como, and at Fairplay.  On January 16, Suddjian reported 12 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches at Jefferson.
--On January 16, Suddjian reported 3 White-winged Crossbills on CR 98 near CR 61.
--On January 16, Hundertmark reported 3 small flocks of Rosy-Finches including 1 Black at Fairplay.
--On January 16, Hundertmark reported all 3 species of Rosy-Finches in Como.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--A PURPLE FINCH has been visiting the feeder of Janeal Thompson in Lamar.  Most recently on January 12.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--On January 10, Percival reported 1 Red-throated Loon, 1 White-winged Scoter, 3 Long-tailed Ducks (2f, 1m) Barrow's Goldeneyes, 1 ad Great Black-backed Gull 3 ad Lesser Black-backed Gulls at Pueblo Reservoir.  On January 17, Chartier reported Great Black-backed Gull and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls at Pueblo Reservoir.
--On January 19, Duane Nelson reported 4 ad Tundra Swans at the Avondale Water Treatment Ponds.  The ponds are 15 miles east of Pueblo on US 50 between mm 331 and mm 332 on the North side of the highway and just east of the bridge over the Arkansas River.

TELLER COUNTY:
--On January 16, Suddjian reported Gray-crowned and Brown-capped Rosy-Finches at Florrisant.

The DFO Trip for Saturday, January 24 will be to Allenspark and Lyons led by Nina Routh and Mike Serruto (nrouth AT copper.net or 303-987-8687)  This trip is full.  Annual trip to look fo rosy-finches in Allenspark, then to Lyons for lunch at Oskar Blues.  Will poke around Lyons for resident birds in the cemetery or other available area.  

The DFO Trip for Sunday, January 25 will be to Red Rocks Park led by Chris Rurike (chrisrurik AT gmail.com253-225-7104).  Meet at Trading Post parking lot at Red Rocks Park at 0800.Call for directions if this location is unfamiliar to you.  Will look for Golden=crowned Sparrow and possible rosy-finches at the Trading Post Feeders.  Will walk around Red Rocks Park looking for typical foothills species.  Will also visit Lair O' the Bear Park to look for American Dippers and Pygmy Nutatches.  Dress for weather; bring binoculars and field guies.  Up to 2 miles of walking on well-maintained trails.
