On Tuesday 9-30 I drove to Adobe Creek Reservoir (Kiowa, Bent) and I echo Duane's comments, I found very few shorebirds and figured that I must have missed the prime habitat...also on my route, not much shoreline at Lake Henry or Lake Meredith (Crowley). However the reason for my post in a year where it's been hard to find shoreline is: Lake Cheraw (Otero) had shorebirds pretty much all the way around it, I struggled to ID the multitudes in glaring sun but worked out six sandpiper species, a Marbled Godwit, and a close-up Sanderling with it's black and white pattern.
