[cobirds] Question

Hey, everyone. First, I love lurking on this list. Second, I am a writer and have published five Birdwatcher’s Mystery novels that are being rereleased as ebooks on Friday, October 31st. The new publisher, Astor+Blue Editions, has asked me to write a sixth book in the series for ebook and print release in September of 2015. I told him I would, and he wrote back and said, “You haven’t done owls.” I agreed I hadn’t, and he wrote back and said “We can call it A PARLIAMENT OF OWLS. Now, the question. Actually, first a caveat—I am a good writer and I love to go birding, but I’m by no means an expert birder. So, I did a little research and have been trying to come up with a plot and wonder—if you were going to choose an owl, which would you choose? Are there any owls impacted by the fracking that’s going on in Colorado? Are any other owls impacted by something that has ties to litigated or politically controversial things happening in Colorado. If anyone is willing to share, please send me a private email (we don’t need to eat up space on the list). I can be contacted at chris@christinegoff.com. Thanks, Chris
