Since I haven't birded Pueblo Reservoir for a while, and I heard from Margie Joy that there were Common Loons around Pueblo Reservoir yesterday, I decided to go out there this morning and check things out. I didn't go over to the South Shore Marina, where there appears to be a good number of gulls.
There were at least 11 Common Loons (8 in middle/eastern part of the Reservoir, and 3 more in the western part of the Reservoir). Other highlights for me, were two Bonaparte's Gulls and a female Red-breasted Merganser. Five species of grebes, and a some ducks were also present on the lake.
