I found, and feel confident about the ID of, a Northern Shrike (folks have been seeing an adult shrike in the vicinity all winter, and have been split on its identity) at the south end of Manitou Lake, in the marsh area. About here: 39.086005,-105.09628. Got good looks at it, and fair enough photos showing light gray back, distinct hook on bill tip, and no black feathering on top of bill.
And just these 6 other species. Manitou Lake has been quite dead lately.
· Common Raven
· American Crow
· Mallard – pair on trout creek
· Song Sparrow – singing
· American Tree Sparrow – flock of about 10-14
· Black-capped Chickadee
