Brandon Percival just reminded me that in Dave Silverman’s compilation of first spring arrivals for Pueblo County, Broad-tailed Hummingbird’s earliest arrival date is April 5. Therefore any metallic buzzing heard now should be taken seriously, as Paula Hansley pointed out as well.
