BACA COUNTY:
--On May 26, McConnell reports a PAINTED BUNTING at Cottonwood Canyon, just north and east of the camping area.
BENT COUNTY:
--On May 23, DeFonso reports a Magnolia Warbler at Van's Grove.
--On May 20, Nelson reports a Least Tern at John Martin Reservoir.
--On May 20, Nelson reports a male BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER at Van's Grove.
BOULDER COUNTY:
--On May 25, Heinrich reports a Northern Cardinal, that spent the winter in his neighborhood, visited his feeders this morning, and last evening.
--On May 24, Sheeter reports a PHILADELPHIA VIREO at Bear Hollow Park, in Lyons. The bird was just over the bridge. (The park across the street from Black Bear Inn.)
--On May 20, Heinrich reports a Black-throated Gray Warbler visited his yard in North Boulder. It was also seen on May 21, it was not seen on May 22.
--On May 21, Vanderpoel reports a Veery (Western race) at Golden Ponds south of the creek along the concrete bike path, south of the spillway.
EL PASO COUNTY:
--On May 24, Eaton reports a Summer Tanager along the Fountain Creek Regional Trail in Colorado Springs, just north of Circle Drive.
--On May 23, Goycoolea saw a BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER around 5:00 PM just south of the play area in the willows at the Beidleman Environmental Center/Soderman Park in Colorado Springs. (This was reported to Pals via* email on 5/24) The Warbler was seen on May 25 by B. Maynard, it was foraging for long periods at all heights in most of the trees, coniferous and deciduous, that surround the parking lot, at the same location. It was seen by many birders on May 26, and last seen by Pals at the same location around 7:00 PM.
--On May 23, Percival reports a Veery, and a PAINTED BUNTING at the banding station of Chico Basin Ranch, fee area.
--On May 22, Percival reports a GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH, Black-throated Gray Warbler (female), Black and White Warbler (Male), at the banding station/Eagle Grove, at Chico Basin Ranch, (Fee Area)
--On May 21, Ogilvie reports 2-4 White-winged Doves visiting her feeders almost daily in NE Colorado Springs.
--On May 21, Pals reports a Magnolia Warbler along Bear Creek between 21st St. and 8th St. at Bear Creek Regional Park was seen by Vernon.
EL PASO/PUEBLO COUNTIES:
--On May 20, Percival reports seeing a singing White-winged Dove at the Headquarters, Chico Basin Ranch, fee area.
--On May 19, Hinds reported the following birds seen at CBR: Hooded Warbler and Black-and-white Warbler at the banding station and Kentucky Warbler and Hepatic Tanager in the HQ area.FREMONT COUNTY:
--On May 22, Moss reports seeing the Broad-winged Hawk flying about a half mile east of where she saw it on May 19.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On May 18, Komar reported the following sightings from CFO Convention field trips: On May 17, a PAINTED REDSTART was seen briefly north of Mancos. It was not relocated later. On May 18 a Yellow-throated Vireo was found in Yellow Jacket Canyon.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On May 19, Chavez reported the following seen at Belmar Historic Park, Lakewood: Cassin's Vireo and Common Poorwill (rare here).
--On May 19, Hudak reports seeing a Blackpoll Warbler at Main Reservoir, which is in Lakewood.
KIT CARSON COUNTY:
--On May 19, Percival reports an adult Broad-winged Hawk, and a Northern Waterthrush at Straton; an ALDER FLYCATCHER at Siebert, White-eyed Vireo at Burlington,
an adult Tennessee Warbler at Burlington Cemetery.
LA PLATA COUNTY:
--On May 21, R. Taylor reports an ACORN WOODPECKER west of Durango. Directions are posted on cobirds.
LARIMER COUNTY:
--On May 21, Meyer reports a Black-throated Gray Warbler, and an Indigo Bunting in a Peachleaf Willow Tree in Brooks Canyon at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area, which is closed to the public.
--On May 20, Edwards, in northwest Fort Collins, reports a first spring male Summer Tanager around their suet feeder for several hrs., it is still coming to her feeder on May 21.
LINCOLN COUNTY:
--On May 22, D. Maynard reports a YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER in a lone pine tree at the Holiday Inn Express parking lot in Limon.
--On May 18, Percival reports a MOURNING WARBLER (male), Black-throated Blue Warbler (male), Black-throated Gray Warbler, (female), Palm Warbler (western), Nashville Warbler, American Redstart, a Summer Tanager, 2 Veery, a White-throated Sparrow, and a Yellow-billed Cuckoo at a private ranch.

--On May 21, De Fonso reported a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK at the Lamar CC woods.
--On May 19, De Fonso reported a Nashville Warbler in the Lamar CC woods.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--On May 25, Pervical reports a Great Crested Flycatcher, a Veery, a Blackpoll Warbler, a Black and White Warbler at the Headquarters of Chico Basin Ranch. (Fee)
and a CAPE MAY WARBLER at Rose Pond at CBR.
--On May 23, Percival reports a Veery, a Yellow-throated Vireo, and a CAPE MAY WARBLER at Rose Pond area of CBR.
--On May 22, Percival reports a Magnolia Warbler, CAPE MAY WARBLER, Blackpoll Warbler at Chico Basin Ranch Headquarters area.
SEDGWICK COUNTY:
--On May 26, Mlodinow reports a singing EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE in the town of Julesburg, in the alley between 4th and 5th street, just north of Maple, near a yard with three dogs.
WASHINGTON COUNTY:
--On May 26, Kellner reports the SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER, first seen by Walbek on May 24, was refound west of Last Chance, along Hwy 36 between Washington County road B and B.5 around 6:00 pm.
--On May 24, Walbek reports a Yellow-throated Vireo at Last Chance.
--On May 23, D. Maynard reports an ALDER FLYCATCHER, and a Yellow-throated Vireo at Last Chance.
WELD COUNTY:
--On May 23, Cobb reports a GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH and a Magnolia Warbler at Crow Valley Campground.
--On May 23, the Hudsonian Godwit was seen by N. Moore in the large pond near lower Latham, first reported on May 22, by Schottler at Beebe Draw, on Weld CR 42, between RD's 45 and 47.
--On May 21, Dowell reports the Black-throated Gray Warbler continues at Crow Valley Campground, it was in a Juniper Tree, in the southwest part of the birding area. Dowell also saw a Veery along the dry creek bed in the southeast part of the campground.
YUMA COUNTY:
--On May 25, Mlodinow reports a singing YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER on Yuma County Road 54 just east of highway between Wray and Holyoke, in Yuma Shelter belt to east of highway, along co rd 54, birdable from the road.
--On May 25, Mlodinow reports a singing male Golden-winged Warbler in the city park at Wray.
--On May 21, Walbek reports a CAPE MAY WARBLER (female) near the southern most pond at Hale Ponds SWA.
--On May 20, Dowell reports seeing a Nashville Warbler in the lakeside trees near the parking area at Stalker Lake, which is near Wray.
--On May 20, Walbek reports a Gray-cheeked Thrush, Nashville Warbler, Summer Tanager, PAINTED BUNTING (female) feeding with the buntings and
American Goldfinches, at Wagon Wheel Campground at Bonny SWA.
--On May 19, Percival reported 2 Great Crested Flycatchers, and a singing Ovenbird at Hale.
DFO FIELD TRIPS:
--The field trip for Monday, May 27 is to the Pawnee Grasslands. The leader is Chris Owens (home: 303-772-6048; cell: 970-481-7271). Meet leader at 0530 at the RTD Park-N-Ride on the southwest corner of I-25 and highway 66 (exit 243). Please call Chris if you plan to go.
