[cobirds] Lincoln county --- Yellow-throated Vireo

COBirders,

Today I went birding with my parents around Lincoln county.  As expected, waterfowl were in good numbers at a few locations.  The only noteworthy of the bunch were two GREATER SCAUP and two RED-BREASTED MERGANSERs at a private ranch.  Also on the same private ranch we found a silent and methodical YELLOW-THROATED VIREO.  It was preening a fair bit as it would slowly move form branch to branch and tree to tree.  This was a life bird for my parents which was great as they both had reasonably good looks at the bird.  We also had a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER at this location but not with the vireo which was completely alone the whole time we were with it (~45 min), it really paid little attention to us and mostly stayed about mid-canopy.

Other birds about as we were driving and walking around were three VESPER SPARROWs, three SAGE THRASHERs, one RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET and one LONG-EARED OWL.  For the approximately four hours of "birding" we had a decent day.  I think we had a total of 61 species in Lincoln county.
