Steamboat Springs hosted its CBC on Saturday Dec. 15th with challenging, snowing conditions but set a new record of 47 species seen. Highlights were 46 Common redpolls, 30 Bohemian waxwings, 39 Brewer's blackbirds, 107 grey-capped rosy finches, and western scrub jays. The rosy finches were found in town instead of at the ski area summit feeder, a pleasant surprise.
