[cobirds] Shrike Eats Redpoll - Larimer County

We have had a flock of about 20 Common Redpolls at our feeders every day for at least the last week.  We also have witnessed nearly daily visits from a Northern Shrike, preying on our feeder birds, usually juncos.  This morning, the shrike was successful in catching a redpoll, taking advantage of the distraction of howling wind.  It flew off down into the valley below our house to enjoy its meal.
