I stopped by Dixon Reservoir in west Fort Collins this morning between 8:00 and 8:30. The Redpoll fest continues, as I had a single Common Redpoll (female I think, as there was no red on the throat/breast) with a flock(s) of American and (yes) Lesser Goldfinches and House Finches. These flocks were seen just south of the upper parking lot. The full list in that time:
Common Redpoll
American Goldfinch
Lesser Goldfinch
Black-capped Chickadee
Mountain Chickadee
Dark-eyed Junco
American Tree Sparrow
Townsend's Solitaire
Downy Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Common Raven
Black-billed Magpie
Cheers,
Brad Biggerstaff
Fort Collins
