Hi All,
The CFO Board has selected Cortez in Montezuma County for our 2013 Convention. While not all arrangements have been completed, we are planning for arrivals trips on Thursday, May 16, and departure trips on Monday, May 20, with the normal schedule of events on Friday through Sunday. Our Keynote Speaker will be John Vanderpoel who did an ABA area "Big Year" in 2011. There will be our usual assortment of wide-ranging field trips and who knows what we may find.
This is a change from our 2012 Convention announcement that Durango would be our 2013 location. The Board approved this change on the prospects of better birding potential in Montezuma and adjoining counties and accommodations that fit our needs better.
We expect to finalize arrangements including hotel accommodations shortly and will announce details at that time.
We hope to see many of you in Cortez!
