Sorry, Paula, but I agree with Cole. This is an American Redstart. It does not have the brilliant red belly of the Painted Redstart. Please see this: 


Also, IMO, Cole's response to you seemed no more rude or snarky as yours was to Megan. Please realize that e-mail is lacking as a form of communication. Among other things, one cannot see the writer's body language or hear the writer's voice inflection.

This is not a Painted Redstart it is an American Redstart. When identifying birds it is often good to use a field guide and not jump to the rarest possible bird.
