[cobirds] Sagebrush Sparrow - Summit County

Hi COBirders,

I found a Sagebrush Sparrow at about 2 pm this afternoon at Grand Timber Lodge in Breckenridge, Summit County. The bird was feeding in a narrow strip of landscaped vegetation and dirt between a walkway and the southern-most hot tubs on the property. Less than a minute after I first found it, a group of people walked by and flushed it. It took me 40 minutes to re-find, but the key was targeting the few snow-free patches of ground in the area. This location is publicly accessible.

eBird indicates this species has only been documented in Summit County one other time, by Hugh Kingery almost 30 years ago to the day. I haven't yet referenced CBRC for Summit records.

I'm happy to share more location details offline for anyone interested.
