[cobirds] Brant at Monte Vista NWR

As I was out tonite watching the cranes feed ahead of the storm and an brant 2.JPGunusual bird flew in. It was a Brant (nigricans).  Got some pics. Every few years one seems to show up with the Cackling Geese. This one might be seen again at the 7S and 3 E fields where heavy feeding is going on. Also watch for a very red Sandhill...

Heard my first Sage Thrasher singing today!
