Re: [cobirds] rehabber recommendation resource?

As a volunteer transporter for CPW SE region  I've been told that many rehabbers don't want their locations and contact information posted. The recommended process is to call your local Wildlife office and let them make arrangements for transport. Regarding the centers you listed, you might get their permission to post their phone numbers.

In Pueblo, the Raptor Center at the Wildlife and Discovery Center (formerly the Nature Center) takes calls from the public. And I believe Second Chance Wildlife Rehab does as well. They both have websites and Facebook pages where you can find their contact information and hours of operation.

If you can't reach any of these places, like after hours or weekend, State Patrol will take wildlife emergency calls and get you a wildlife officer or park ranger.

Hope this is helpful.

Might one of the Administrators of the FB groups "Pin" this information to the top of the Group?

I give people the
Wild Bird Rehab number: (303) 927-7348
Greenwood rehab/sanctuary: (303) 823-8455
There is the Pueblo raptor rehab, I don't have their number.

In the CFO and other similar Facebook groups, injured birds are a very common theme and the vast majority of posters do not have information about how to find/contact a local rehabber.  Is anyone aware of a resource that people could be directed to that could be pointed to in these points for people to find help for the birds quickly?
