I'm wondering if you could be a great blue heron. I think they could have that coloration distinction in different lighting or if the picture's not great.

A friend of mine sent me this picture and I can't figure out what species I'm looking at. My first thought was common crane because of the colors on the wings but they don't normally live around here, do they? Perhaps it got caught up with some sandhill cranes?
