[cobirds] San Luis valley Highlights

Spent the last two days birding with a friend. It was sunny and nice and no winds for a change. Here are some of the special birds....
South River Road: Bittern, Willow Flycatcher, Eared Grebe, Common Yellowthroat.
Pikes Stockade: Blue Grosbeak, plenty of mosquitoes (non hi lite!) and one very large Rattlesnake that we saw first!
John James Canyon area: Got Sagebrush Sparrow and 1 Black-throated Sparrow.
Cat Creek Loop: Plumbeous Vireo, Williamson's Sapsucker,  Green-tailed Towhee, and Pygmy Nuthatches.

Really nice to be able to bird from the same vehicle once again.
