[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report - Grand Valley Audubon Station, 9/16/19

The first day of banding at our GVAS station got off to a slow start, with 10 new birds of 6 species.  Most of these birds appeared to be residents and were still in active molt, so it is probable that migration isn't quite in full swing here yet.

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 1
Wilson's Warbler 2
Bewick's Wren 3
Juniper Titmouse 1
White-crowned Sparrow 1
American Robin 2

If you want to stop by, we're in Connected Lakes State Park every weekday starting at about 7:30.  If you want a guaranteed shot at seeing birds try to arrive before 9:30!  Also, public banding day is Saturday, September 28th.  We'll be here till October 11th.
