[cobirds] Weld County Wanderings

HI all

Yesterday ...
  • Stilt Sandpiper (1) and Long-billed Dowticher (2) at Weld CR 59 marsh (south of Hwy 34 and giant feedlot to north)
  • Black Tern (4-5), Franklin's Gull (1), Greater Yellowlegs (1) at Loloff Reservoir
  • Burrowing Owl (2) at Weld CR 33 btw 98/100 and one at Weld CR 114 one mile west of 45
  • Chestnut-collared Longspur (3+) and McCowns' Longspur (2-3) at Weld CR 45 btw 114/112
  • New active Osprey nests (for me) atop cell tower at I25/Harmony Road (SW corner) and Larimer CR 3/50 one mile west on 50 on north)
Weld CR 61/74 pond drawing down should be shorebird ready week or two?? Crom and Cozzen Lake, and Stewart's Pond (both) FULL of water.  Weld CR 48 and Beebe Draw pretty much dry now.
