[cobirds] Re: Calliope, Rufous Hummingbirds at Audubon Nature Center

To clarify, The Audubon Nature Center is on Waterton Road just south of the intersection with Wadsworth at the south end of Chatfield SP (address: 11280 Waterton Rd, Littleton, CO 80125). If you Google it, there are actually 2 buildings, and the feeders are on the west side of the southern building.

Hi All -

At the Audubon Nature Center feeders yesterday evening for the kick-off of this year's new Audubon Master Birder class,  we had a male and female (at least 1 each) Calliope Hummingbird and Rufous Hummingbird in addition to a swarm of Broad-tailed and Black-chinned Hummingbirds.  Bea Weaver has graciously added feeders and been maintaining them since the springtime, and the results have been extraordinary. Either way, this is area has a nice parking lot and ~100 yard easy walk down to the feeders, which make them easily accessible to folks of all ages if they'd like to get a look at these great little birds.

Best,
