BOULDER COUNTY:
---On July 6 at Arapaho Pass, Dave Hallock reported White-tailed Ptarmigan and 2 Fox Sparrow.
---On July 8 at Brainard Lake, Bill Kaempfer and John Vanderpoel reported 3 Slate-colored Fox Sparrows and American Three-toed Woodpecker.  On July 8 at Brainard Lake, Renee Casias reported Fox Sparrow and Indigo Bunting.
---On July 9 at County Line Oxbow, Bill Kaempfer reported Solitary Sandpiper which was N of Boulder Creek and W of County Line.
---On July 10 at N 63rd St at St Vrain Creek, Sue RIffe reported 2 Eastern Phoebe on both sides of road.

COSTILLA COUNTY:
---On July 5 at CR 18 and CR F, Kathy Mihm Dunning reported 11 Dickcissel.
---On July 6 on CR 12 N of Smith Reservoir, John Rawinski reported 2 Dickcissel.  On July 8, Vic Zerbi 
Reported Dickcissesl on CR 12 near Smith Reservoir.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
---On July 7 on S Andrews Road, John Drumond reported 7 Dickcissel.

EAGLE COUNTY:
---On July 9 at Gypsum Ponds, JoAnn Riggle reported Least Flycatcher.

EL PASO COUNTY:
---On July 7 on Hanover Road W of S Meridian Rd, David and Tammy McQuade reported Curve-billed Thrasher.
---On July 7 at Ramah Reservoir SWA, John Drummond reported Solitary Sandpiper and 8 Dickcissels.  On July 9, Cecile Lee reported Long-billed Curlew, pair of Red-headed Woodpeckers, and Dickcissels at Ramah Reservoir SWA.
---On July 10, Chris Brobin reported Brown-capped Rosy-Finch at Pike's Peak Summit.

GUNNISON COUNTY:
---On July 7 on Hwy 149 between Blue Mesa Cutoff (CR 26) and Sappinero Mesa (CR 25), Gary Koehn reported Gunnison Sage-Grouse.  Koehn also reported 7 more Gunnison-Sage Grouse on Sappinero Mesa Road about mile 7.

HUERFANO COUNTY:
---On July 9, at Rouse Road, Luke Pheneger reported Bewick's Wren, Cassin's Kingbird, Hepatic Tanager,
Gray Flycatcher, and Juniper Titmouse.
---On July 9 at Lathrop SP, Luke Pheneger reported Greater Roadrunner, 9 Juniper Titmice,  Canyon Towhee, and Curve-billed Thrasher.

JACKSON COUNTY:
---On July 5 at 18 Island Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported Semipalmated Sandpiper.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
---On July 7 at Deer Creek near South Valley Park southern parking lot, David Suddjian reported Eastern Phoebe upstream side of bridge.
---On July 7 at Deer Creek at W Buckhorn Rd, David Suddjian reported Eastern Phoebe.   On July 10 at Deer Creek at W Buckhorn Road, Betty Glass reported Eastern Phoebe on road after bridges.
---On July 10 at Chatfield SP upstream of Kingfisher Bridge, Eric Dinkel reported 3 Eastern Phobe.  Nest is above Women's restroom.

KIOWA COUNTY:
---On July 6 at Neenoshe Reservoir, Steve Sisa reported Wood Duck, 3 Long-billed Curlew in fields on CR E and Red-headed Woodpecker.
---On July 9 at Adobe Creek Reservoir (Blue Lake) Steve Mlodinow reported 3 Semipalmated Sandpipers, and 13 Dickcissels.
---On July 9 at Neenoshe Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported 2 wood Ducks in ditch on east side, 5 Red-headed Woodpeckers and Dickcissel.
---On July 9 at Upper Queens/Neeskah Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported Long-billed Curlew and 2nd year Laughing Gull.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
---On July 7 at Meadow Road in Rafter J Subdivision, Susan Allerton repored 3 Acorn Woodpeckers.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--- On July 3 at Soapstone Prairie NA, Scott Somershoe reported 7 McCown's Longspurs and BAIRD'S SPARROW.  On July 6 at Soapstone Prairie NA, Amber Carver reported 2 BAIRD'S SPARROWS.  On July 8 at Soapstone Prairie NA, Jean Olson reported 1 BAIRD'S SPARROWS and Dickcissel.
---On July 10, David Wade and Nick Komar reported Field Sparrow at Devil's Backbone.  It is a 45 minute hike from Devil's Backbone Parking Area.  Take Wil Loop Trail to Hunter Loop Trail to highest point.  Listen for song from grassy swale on south side of trail.

MESA COUNTY:
---On July 2 in Collbran, PE Road, Deb Stegall, Rodene Harwood, and Ronda Woodward reported Least Flycatcher.  On July 6 in Collbran Job Corps area – PE Road, Nic Korte reported Least Flycatcher.
---On July 5 on Divide Rd, Thimble Point, FR #427, Mike Henwood and Brenda Sabo reported 4 Grace's Warblers.
---On July 8 at Carson Hole, Rodene Harwood and Ronda Woodward reported 2 Grace's Warblers.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
---On July 8 on Last Dollar Road on first 2 miles from Hwy 52, Kent Nelson reported 2 Purple Martins.

PUEB LO COUNTY:
---On July 6 at Valco Ponds SWA in Pueblo, David Tonnessen reported Eastern Phoebe and Bell's Vireo.

ROUTT COUNTY:
---On July 9, Tom Litteral reported a Lewis's Woodpecker in downtown Yampa.

SAGUACHE COUNTY:
---On July 10 on CR X between CR 50 and CR 52, Kathy Mihm Dunning reported Dickcissels in field on S side of road.

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY:
---On July 8 on Dave Wood Road 6 miles from junction with Hwy 42, Kent Nelson reported several Purple Martins.

WELD COUNTY:
---On July 8 on Hwy 392 west of Windsor, Steve Mlodinow reported Caspian Tern.
---On July 9 at South Platte River near CR 61, Gene Rutherford reported Indigo Bunting.

Denver Field Ornithologists Field Trips  
The DFO Field Trip for Friday, July 14 will be to Park County Reservoirs led by Mary Geder and Chris Blakeslee (mfg5000 AT live.com; 303-980-6127)   This trip is full.

The DFO Field Trip for Friday, July 14 will be to Staunton State Park led by Chris Gilbert & Rebecca Laroche (chrisgee9 AT gmail.com; 804-214-1508).  Trail Difficulty:  Strenuous.  
    Directions:  Take US Hwy 2852 south to Shaffers Crossing, about 5 miles west of Conifer.  Turn north on Elk Creek Road and follow the signs 1.5 miles to park entrance.   State Parks pass or day pass required.  
    Meet on road just outside the gate about 0645, gate opens a 0700.  Will go immediately to the Group Picnic area, just past the entrance station.  Hike 5 – 7 miles, part of which will require some steep uphills.  Bring raincoat, water, snacks, lunch, hat, sunscreen and bug spray.  Register online or contact leader.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, July 15 will be Beaver Brook Trail led by Paul Slingsby (paslingsby AT comcastn.net; 303-442-3728)   Meet at 0600 at lower end of the stegosaurus Park-n-Ride.  Will carpool from there.  From I-70, exit 259, turn left onto Co 26; dirver under I-70 bridge and look for the Park-n-Ride on your left.  Will carpool 6 miles to trailhead.  Bring a sack lunch and water.  Register online or contact leader.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, July 16 will be to Riverside Cemetery/Platte River led by Kevin Corwin (kevygudguy AT aol.com; 720-482-8454).  Entrance is at 5201 Brighton Blvd in Denver.  Gates open at 0800.  Will park on west side of the office building.  Will wander the paths of the cemetery and check its wetlands and woodlands, then exit back gate to river.  Will walk along riverside path to Northside Park and Heron Pond Wildlife Refuge, then retrace step back to cemetery.  Basic restroom facilities are available in a shed on the east side of the office building.  Bring water, snacks, and footwear for dirt or mud paths.  Scopes optional.  Register online or contact leader.
