[cobirds] Genesee Park, Jefferson County CO, DFO Trip July 3 2016 by Kathanne Lynch

The DFO field trip yesterday at Genesee Park yielded 32 species for 12 participants.  Detailed notes and photos were entered into eBird for breeding bird data.

The high-count species was the Red Crossbill (AND they were the dominant bird sound in the field).  Below are our bird checklists, including a list made just after the trip that includes nesting/feeding Williamson's Sapsuckers in the "Kingery's Kondo" condominium/apartment Ponderosa Pine nesting tree.  Thanks to Gregg Goodrich for keeping track in the field.
