Birders,
I finally had a Purple Finch arrive at my feeders in Las Animas today. It is in female-type plumage. I have had them in three previous winters (2000, 2004 and 2007), but this is my first in eight years, so it is pretty noteworthy.
Birders are welcome to look. I first saw it at 10:30 this morning, and it didn’t make a second appearance for three hours. I can’t guarantee success for people that look.
