After 3 pm today I watched a juvenile Nor. Goshawk catch a rabbit at the margin of the playing fields at the lower level of St. Mary Church and School in Littleton. As it stood on its prey an adult Red-tailed Hawk zoomed in and displaced the Accipiter and stole the rabbit! The Red-tailed proceeded to eat the rabbit until harassing corvids forced it to also be displaced. The Goshawk left the scene heading north.
-- It was impressive to see the size of the Gos in direct comparison with the Red-tailed. Must have been a female.
