[cobirds] Another Goshawk encounter, Arapahoe Co.

After 3 pm today I watched a juvenile Nor. Goshawk catch a rabbit at the margin of the playing fields at the lower level of St. Mary Church and School in Littleton. As it stood on its prey an adult Red-tailed Hawk zoomed in and displaced the Accipiter and stole the rabbit! The Red-tailed proceeded to eat the rabbit until harassing corvids forced it to also be displaced. The Goshawk left the scene heading north.

It was impressive to see the size of the Gos in direct comparison with the Red-tailed. Must have been a female.
