It was a quiet finish to the fall banding season at Chico Basin Ranch, with slow days both Thursday and Friday. We finished the season just shy of 1000 birds, with 994 of 51 species banded.
Many thanks to volunteers Diane Luck, Lynne Miller, Ren Gobris, Anna Joy Lehmicke, Katie Merewether, and Lee Farese. Thanks also to our education team of Lee Derr and Juliana Frost, and to CBR staff for all their hard work clearing vegetation in the net lanes, and for their gracious hospitality, as always.
