The breeding distribution of Eastern Marsh Wren reaches west to cen. NE, cen. SD, and I believe, ND and Alberta.
Given that we have so many records of other eastern birds with an even more easterly distribution, it seems rather unlikely that Eastern Marsh Wrens DON'T occur in CO. I guess that is a double negative. It seems highly likely that Eastern Marsh Wrens DO occur in CO. The problem is that the criteria for sight ID are not entirely clear, though the songs are very different. So... even a very careful and experienced birder will not likely identify a member of this subspecies group unless that bird sings.
