Hi, Cobirders.
Today eight of us ventured out to Turkey Creek Recreation Area (Ft Carson Military Reservation) in El Paso County.
As we drove north from the stables, we encountered a plethora of Jays. There were 2 Steller's Jays and 22 Western Scrub-Jays. But the most fun was provided by at least 200 raucous Pinyon Jays. They were so great to see in the morning sun. We also had a good number of Mountain Bluebirds and Dark-eyed Juncos.
It was a beautiful day to be out.
Good birding, everyone!
