[cobirds] Today Snow 2"at 7:30 AM So now what is found at home?

Hi Cobirders Snowy and about 24 o f all day. At 7:20AM about 12 Bushtits had the feeder and Chokecherry tree to themselves.

At 1 PM Two Downy Woodpeckers both male ( mtn race) on the suet block same time. Soon flew to near by thin trunks of the Chokecherry tree
each to its own blending in with same width trunk complete with the white patch on their backs looking like the white patches on tree! I would
never of seen them if I had not seen them do that (Twins?) Much later there was a female Downy on the suet block.
Don't recall ever seeing 2 male Downies in the yard at one time before.

There were a Pink-sided and a Slate Junco on the on the Russian Olive tree.

Day closed with more snow totaling 5"

Catching up on some Colorado mining camp reading to go with my Colorado trade tokens I collect.

Hope to get out more this year.

Lots going on out there!
