[cobirds] Re: 4 geese species - Sharp Point Drive (Larimer)

I'm embarrassed to say that I have convinced myself, upon actually using my brain and consulting a field guide, that I saw Brewer's Blackbirds and not grackles. Apologies for the rookie mistake...

At mid-day today I found probably 1000 white-cheeked geese, mostly Cackling (I believe) but with Canada certainly present too; 1 Greater White-fronted Goose and 2 Snow Geese (all photographed badly). Good variety of ducks:1 hen Wood Duck, Northern Pintails, Lesser Scaup, Northern Shoveler, Mallard, Common Goldeneye, American Wigeon, and flyover Common Mergansers. Neighboring farm field had Common Grackles, a little bit out of season.

I'd heard a report of a Brant at this location 2 days ago but could not find one.
