I finally decided to go birding today, after 230pm (after the long day of birding yesterday). I went over to the Osprey Picnic Area in Rock Canyon. I walked the entire area. The whole area was covered with Yellow-rumped Warblers. I also saw Virginia's, Orange-crowned, Yellow, and male Blackpoll Warbler. I also saw my first of the spring Ash-throated Flycatcher. At the Fish Hatchery Pond, that you drive by, below Pueblo Reservoir, I was delighted to see three Forster's Tern. Somehow, I didn't see one all of last year, in Colorado. I didn't want to miss this species two years in a row. Over in the south east corner of Pueblo Reservoir, there were 20 or so Willets and a Sanderling.
Good birding,
Brandon Percival
