[cobirds] DFO Denver City Park trip. Cormorant young, Solitary Sandpiper and more

On a Denver Field Ornithologists field trip to City Park, Mary Cay Burger, Barbara Hoover and I displaying Snowy Egrets on nests, a Solitary Sandpiper, a flashy flock of 19 Western Willets, 16 Bonaparte's Gulls, solitary Chimney Swift, and a dispersed flock of Cedar Waxwings among the Yellow-rumped Warblers (both flavors) and Chipping Sparrows. The highlight for me, however, was the discovery well developed downy young in several of the Double-crested Cormorant nests on the Duck Lake island. Full list below.
