Among the many migrating birds recently in the Canon City area is a rare dark morph Broad-winged Hawk. Rich Miller spotted it as he and I were exchanging info on birds we had just seen. As it came closer he and I were delighted to find it to be a dark morph. I did get a few nice photos of it and have uploaded them to my Birds and Nature blog. More on other neat, though not this rare, migrants later.
