[cobirds] Hooded mergansers, arapahoe County

I've had an increasing number of hooded mergansers play staying on my pond for the last couple of weeks. Today I had 26 hoodies on the pond! I've never had anywhere near that number here!
They have intermittent episodes of courtship throughout the day and it's really nice to be able to watch the battles for the gals and hear the deep croaks that they put out when they are doing their head movements.
