-- Our second week in Grand Junction was dominated by the newly arrived White-crowned Sparrow. We've caught 74 in the past six days. Second place in numbers goes to the Bushtit at 19 new birds this week. A late Yellow-breasted Chat and Virginia's Warbler were this week's highlights. We caught 137 new birds this week.

Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow- 60
Unknown White-crowned Sparrow- 2
Brewer's Sparrow- 1
Song Sparrow- 4
House Finch- 2
The Grand Junction Banding Station is open through Oct 14. We are open to the public Mon-Friday.
