Hello all,
This week we caught 68 birds representing 12 species. Daily captures are dominated by White-crowned Sparrows of both varieties. Spotted Towhees also seem to be present in good numbers as we catch several a day and they make up the majority of our recaptures from previous years. The oldest being a bird banded as a hatch year bird in 2017. We are open through October 14th.
Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay- 1
Hermit Thrush- 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglet- 1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher-1
Bewick's Wren- 1
Wilson's Warbler-2Orange-crowned Warbler- 3

Feel free to visit the station! We have school groups every day at 10am. I recommend arriving between 730-10 am for best bird viewing. You'll learn a lot about White-crowned Sparrows.
