[cobirds] Townsend's Warbler, Barr Lake State Park, Adams County

Yesterday, the Boulder Bird Club went to Barr Lake State Park for its usual Wednesday field trip.  When we arrived about 8:30 am, we looked at birds gathered around the bird feeder. To my

amazement, a male Townsend's Warbler (see px below) was flitting around in a bush by the feeder!

I have never seen this warbler in the spring in Colorado.  I expect to see it in the fall.  Look at its range map in any bird book, and you can see that during spring migration its path normally proceeds from Mexico northward through western California.  In the fall, its southward migration is more widespread, extending eastward through the foothills of Colorado.

Has anyone else seen this warbler in the spring?
