[cobirds] Re: More Spring arrivals/Weld

Hi all

Forgot the Thick-billed Longspurs (12+) along CR 45 north of CR 112 (before east-west telephone line) on both sides of road. Excellent weather conditions at 0730 ... um, until the wind appeared 0820. There was another birder at CR 110-area looking for longspurs, too. The boxed area below is probably the most reliable longspur spot for both species. CR45/122 is the start of annual Nunn BBS route. CR 41 (t-intersect) btw 102/100 a favorite for Sage and Brown Thrasher, sparrows, shrikes, orioles, Blue Grosbeak, etc

  • Osprey O Street gravel pit in Greeley, behind the jail (2 on nest)

  • Western Grebe on 3t5th Ave west gravel pit (6)
