Early this AM, I went to one of my favorite birding and walking places to get away from the recent outdoor crowds— Sawhill Ponds. A few minutes after leaving my car, I heard the familiar, unmistakeable call of a Greater Yellowlegs coming from the direction of Walden Ponds!
Shorebird migration has started!
