Rare, out-of-place and out-of-season species include:


Trumpeter Swan (Arapahoe)

Tundra Swan (Boulder, *Jefferson)

Surf Scoter (Arapahoe, Jefferson)

White-winged Scoter (*Jefferson)

Black Scoter (*Arapahoe)

Mew Gull (Weld)

***Note, other expected wintering gulls have appeared at Lake Pueblo & other favored sites.

Red-throated Loon (Pueblo)

Yellow-billed Loon (*Arapahoe)

Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch (Boulder, El Paso, Larimer, *Weld)



ARAPAHOE COUNTY:

—On December 1 a Yellow-billed Loon was reported at Aurora Reservoir by Steve Mlodinow.  This might be the same bird  previously reported at Cherry  Creek SP (November 8-28).

—On December 1 a Black Scoter was reported in the Arapahoe County section of the South Platte Reservoir.  First reported on November 13 by Burke Angstman.

—On December 1 (3) Trumpeter Swans were reported at Cherry Creek SP Marina.  First reported on November 28 by Hap Ellis.

—On November 29 (2) Trumpeter Swans were reported at Eaglewatch Lake in  South Platte Park-C470 Area by David Bailey.

—On November 28 a Yellow-billed Loon was reported at Cherry Creek SP Marina.  First reported on November 8 by Ben Sampson.


BOULDER COUNTY:

—On November 28 (3) Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported in eastern Boulder County at North 119th Street, south of Oxford Road by Peter Gent.

—On November 28 (5) Tundra Swans were reported at Boulder Reservoir by Peter Gent.


EL PASO COUNTY:

—On November 28  (2) Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch was reported at Red Rock Canyon Open Space.  First reported on November 27 by Jim Merritt.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

—On December 1 (6) Tundra Swans were reported at Harriman State Park by Lucy Deakins.

—On December 1 a White-winged Scoter was reported at Chatfield SP -N Boat Ramp Area.  First reported November 29 by Joey Kellner. You —On November 30 a Surf Scoter was observed at the Jefferson County section of South Platte Reservoir. First reported on November 13 by James McCall.


LARIMER COUNTY:

—On November 29 approx (25) Grey-crowned Rosy-Finches (including one Hepburn's (coastal subspecies)) were reported at Lory State Park, around the first rock face from the parking lot on first rock face from the parking lot on the Well Gulch trail, by John Shenot. 


PUEBLO COUNTY:

—On December 1 a Red-throated Loon was reported at Pueblo Reservoir   First reported on November 28  by Brandon Percival. 


WELD COUNTY:

—On December 1 (3) Gray-crowned Rosy-finches were reported in Raymer at CR 105 (40.644,-104.068) by Norm Erthal.

—On November 30 (3) Mew Gulls were reported at Union Reservoir. First reported on November 28 by Steve Mlodinow.
