I got an eBird alert of this rare bird for this location in Fruita.By clicking on the highlighted name of the person reporting the bird in the checklist you can see their profile.As you can see Curtis is birding in Hawaii December 17-21st today. So it would be pretty hard for him to see a bird in Fruita. He obviously picked up the wrong location for his checklist. You can see his 10 most recent checklists on the right hand side of the screen.So no need to drive crazy to the western slope.
