Here is what I saw, with other birders today at Lake Pueblo State Park, Pueblo County:
Highlights this morning in the SWA on the NW Side of Pueblo Reservoir, west to the ice line, west of Turkey Creek:
13 Black Scoters (5 males, 8 female type) birds
2 Long-tailed Ducks (seen at the same time, for sure two birds -- I'm now more sure there were two birds present on Jan 19th, as well)
1 male Barrow's Goldeneye
1 Red-necked Grebe
1 Bufflehead x Common Goldeneye (hybrid)
also, Red-breasted Mergansers, Horned, Eared and Western Grebes
Highlights during the afternoon at Lake Pueblo SP (below the dam and South Shore Marina):
1 Black Phoebe (below the dam)
1 adult Trumpeter Swan (below the dam)
1 adult Lesser Black-backed Gull (below the dam)
1 adult Great Black-backed Gull (Shore Marina)
1 first year Glaucous Gull (Shore Marina)
Pueblo West, CO
