Hi all -
While walking into the nature center at South Platte Park for the Winter Waterfowl Census, I noticed a dove fly over. I saw it only from the underside and briefly, nowhere near enough time to get a photo. I noticed it was not large (some Collared Doves get pretty big), it had a white tipped tail (like a Collared Dove or White-winged, unlike Mourning Dove). It also had a thin, dainty neck and head (like Mourning or White winged, unlike Collared). I just wanted to give anyone birding there a heads up on a possible White winged Dove. Based on the description, does it sound like it could be a White winged Dove?
