[cobirds] TVs at CU

Right on schedule this morning a kettle of Turkey Vultures appeared over the CU Boulder campus.  For years TVs have glided in over the campus in the mid-morning, coming in from roosts in west Boulder to catch thermals put up from the CU power plant.  This becomes just about an everyday occurrence in September as the days cool down. The birds gain altitude and then glide on east to forage for the day.  Today they seemed to move right past the power plant in favor of circling the building hosting the CU Leeds School of Business.  A bad omen for me, for sure.
