[cobirds] Western Gull Still in San Luis Valley BUT.....

My wife Lisa was doing her bird surveys at Blanca Wetlands (Alamosa County) and happened upon the adult Western Gull, first reported by Floyd and Sibley. I know some of you chased that bird but it disappeared quickly from Smith Reservoir. Anyway, the bird is still around BUT it is in the Blanca Wetlands area, which is closed until July 16th to accommodate nesting species. I do think it is important to see what this bird does and if it sticks around until after opening, we will keep you appraised of its status as the season progresses.
