Today, I had my 2nd ever Field Sparrow in Colorado, both at Manitou Lake (previous one in 2011).
Seems like a rare find to me. It was singing non-stop. Both sides of the creek, below the dam, 50 yards in front of the “Abert’s Squirrel” sign.
Other than that, nesting is in full swing at Manitou Lake right now.
