If you are like me and unfortunate not to be able attend the CFO convention, this may be for you!

Birding By Ear

Roxborough State Park (Meet Inside the Visitor Center)

Trail: EASY/MODERATE

Leader, Alison Kondler

Bring binoculars, water and snacks.

6 spots left (call soon).

It is spring and the birds are singing! With so many chirps, tweets, and chips it can be difficult to distinguish which bird belongs to what song! However, with a few fun techniques and a lot of practice, the art of learning birdsong is extremely rewarding and bring us even closer to nature.

Join Alison Kondler, naturalist and ASGD Master Birder, for this unique mnemonic driven birding by ear program. Whether you are new to birdsong identification, or an expert who needs a little fine-tuning, you'll be sure to gain valuable knowledge from this course.

We will start with an indoor presentation, then take our new found skills outside on an easy 1.5 mile guided bird walk in the most scenic State Park in Colorado. Return time between 11:00am to 12:00pm.

Please PRE-REGISTER by calling 303-973-3959 during business hours. Space is limited. This is a free program, but CO State Parks Pass or $7.00 Day Fee required to enter the park. Please arrive on time as a courtesy to the other participants.
